Make a Difference

How would you like to help make a difference in the lives of our children in South Africa? Whether you are an individual, family, organization, church group, or a workplace you can make a difference!

The foundation is run almost entirely by volunteers so that as much money as possible makes it to the children in Ya Bana. We need volunteers to help with everything from sorting and processing donations, assisting at sales, planning events, making repairs at the mission house, and so much more! Click the link below to learn more about our volunteer opportunities.

We rely on our donors to help support the children at the Ya Bana Village to provide for their most basic needs. Monetary donations are processed by our payment processor, Vanco. You will be redirected to their site, and you can give one-time or setup recurring giving on the Vanco site.

Prayer is incredibly powerful, so we ask that you join us in prayer for the children at the Ya Bana Village, the staff and for our board of director. You can download our 2024 prayer calendar below to pray for specific needs in the village.

  • The other volunteers are some of the most wonderful people I have ever met; and we care so much about each other and the children who benefit from our work. It’s truly a miracle what Mabopane Foundation has accomplished since 1998 when Becky visited South Africa for the first time and the first donations were received on behalf of the children. And I am proud to be a small part of it.

    Jackie Seawell

Volunteer and shopper - Jackie has been volunteering for about five years. After retiring from teaching, she was introduced to the work of the foundation by her sister-in-law. Jackie works on decorating the kids' room at the mission house.
  • I love serving alongside my sister-in-law Jackie knowing that, in some small way, we are helping these beautiful children at Ya Bana Village. It’s been amazing to see how God has worked over this time and to be part of this mission.

    Jann Bridgers

Volunteer and shopper - Jann was touched by what she heard about the children of Ya Bana village. Jann has served in the children's room at the mission house for about 10 years.
