God calls us at strange times! On the plane trip back from Mabopane South Africa, Becky heard that call. As always leaving is harder than prepping for the trip. It is joyous to see the accomplishments that have been made but difficult knowing what’s left to do.Contribute to the Race to 300 program
With emotional and physical provision being addressed (there will always be an operational need to fund the homes and staff), the need now, is for proper education, but how?
How do you provide exceptional education for 50 plus kids all at the same time?
You can’t, but God can… He provides!
As everyone started working on this issue, an introduction was made with Acudeo College, a private Christian school only 18 miles away from Ya Bana Village. With their partnership that part of the problem solved, the other issue remained… how to fund this endeavor.
The race to 300 was launched based out of the story of Gideon (chapter 7) and how God selected just 300 men for him to go into a mighty battle against 32,000 soldiers.
Just as Gideon took the battle, the charge to educate these children is being accomplished by generous donors who give $50 USD per month.
But more is needed! This God sized campaign is expanding to include corporate sponsors to help with this challenge. The mission is inviting businesses/churches/Bible study groups to donate $200.00 per month or a $2,400 annual donation. We ask that before you commit to this, please pray about this commitment. Our children’s education is dependent on this continued support.
