Assistant Treasurer - We are in need of someone with accounting/finance experience to assist with bookkeeping.

Mabopane Marketplace

At the Mabopane Marketplace we sell donated items two weekends a month to raise money for the children in the Ya Bana Village. We are always in need of volunteers to work at the sales! There is no training required for most positions and we even allow students and kids to volunteer with their parents.

We also need volunteers throughout the week to sort, price, and display the items in preparation for our sales. Please contact admin@mabopanekids.org if you have questions about volunteering at the Mabopane Marketplace or you can sign up to volunteer using the link below.

We have committees to help us run specific aspects of the foundation including: Events/Marketing, Legal, Finance, IT, and Properties.
We rely on volunteers to help run every aspect of the foundation so that we can give 100% of donations to the children in the Ya Bana village. If you have a specific skill set, whether it be writing, digital graphics, accounting, woodworking, tinkering, etc, then we can use your help! Please contact admin@mabopanekids.org if you have questions about our committees or you can sign up using the link below.

During our sales at the Mabopane Marketplace, we give out home-baked sausage biscuits, coffee cake, muffins, bread, cookies, cakes, and pies for donations.

These proceeds help pay for all overhead expenses for example: postage, electricity, computer paper, toilet paper and paper towels and so much more!

If you would like to “Bake” for Mabopane, please email bakers@mabopanekids.org. This enables us to send 100% of funding to benefit the Ya Bana children.
  • The other volunteers are some of the most wonderful people I have ever met; and we care so much about each other and the children who benefit from our work. It’s truly a miracle what Mabopane Foundation has accomplished since 1998 when Becky visited South Africa for the first time and the first donations were received on behalf of the children. And I am proud to be a small part of it.

    Jackie Seawell

Volunteer and shopper - Jackie has been volunteering for about five years. After retiring from teaching, she was introduced to the work of the foundation by her sister-in-law. Jackie works on decorating the kids' room at the mission house.
  • I love serving alongside my sister-in-law Jackie knowing that, in some small way, we are helping these beautiful children at Ya Bana Village. It’s been amazing to see how God has worked over this time and to be part of this mission.

    Jann Bridgers

Volunteer and shopper - Jann was touched by what she heard about the children of Ya Bana village. Jann has served in the children's room at the mission house for about 10 years.
